Very large amounts of explosive in cargo containers are a real threat

Ships at docks and trucks on bridges that could be carrying tons of explosive in cargo containers are major security concerns. Gamma ray and neutron beam explosive detection instruments can screen these large cargo containers. XM division is conducting pilot production studies to manufacture realistic non-hazardous explosive simulants for testing and calibrating these instruments.
